Ascott-under-Wychwood Parish Council has formally agreed that the Community needs a Neighbourhood Plan. This is everyone’s chance to have their say, so please get involved if you care about the future of this lovely place.
Many local residents want a stronger influence on how this Village will develop and a Neighbourhood Plan can give us that. It is an official planning document, written and approved by the residents. It also has to be approved by a Government planning expert. That makes it a legal document that is taken seriously by the planning system when they decide on planning applications. This is not about NO NEW BUIDING but all about RIGHT PLACE, RIGHT NUMBERS, RIGHT STYLE AND RIGHT SIZE – in short, what this Village needs and not what a developer wants.
The Neighbourhood Plan will last for up to 20 years, depending on what residents decide.
We want you all to get involved – even in a very small way – because this is about where you and your family live and play.
